Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin) Class C Delivery Truck Driver 

(9pm – 3:30am) 25 to 35 hours a week/Up to 5 Days a week including some holidays

Job Summary

  • Cerulean Management is a fast-growing management company in the food retail & distribution industry. We are searching for an experienced part-time driver 25 to 35 hours a week that speaks Mandarin/Chinese and English working 4 days a week and up to 6 days on rare occasions.

Typical Delivery route on most days 9pm: 

    1. Walnut (Start)
    2. San Gabriel Store
    3. Arcadia Store
    4. San Gabriel Store
    5. Hacienda Store
    6. Irvine store
    7. Hacienda Store
    8. Walnut (End)

Examples of Delivery Truck Driver responsibilities are listed but not limited to the following

  • Drive truck & work independently between the hours of 9pm to 3:30am 4 to 5 days a week including some holidays
  • Make regular deliveries on scheduled days on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and major holidays. Driving distance is approximately 120 miles daily.
  • Pick-up and make deliveries on special projects as assigned by Manager outside of your regular delivery schedule day/time with advance notice.
  • Load, secure, and unload food deliveries and occasional other work-related documents and company items.
  • Develop a good rapport with each store manager
  • Receive/coordinate instructions from each store the receivable list before the start of driving route
  • Log & and deliver items to their designated locations and place them into the correct reception location at each location.
  • Secure cargo for transport, using straps and covers
  • Maintain company’s vehicle
  • Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the truck and keep interior free of debris
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Management

Minimum Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be able to carry and move items weighing 60 pounds using safe lifting techniques.
  • Must have a clean driving record (H6) with zero points.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese.
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience driving a 16ft. truck
  • Must be able to work flexible hours & some holidays
  • Local candidates only (office is located in Walnut, Ca)
  • Discretion and trustworthiness -You will be privy to confidential information and will need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
  • Formal oral and written English & Chinese communication skills
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check
Restaurant Manager

Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of store operations. You will deliver high-quality food and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service. Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. To be successful in this role, you’ll prior retail restaurant management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. The right candidate will know how to manage the customer experience and staff interactions as well as make suggestions on improvements. Back of the house management experience is also essential, as you’ll hire qualified kitchen staff, cashiers, and servers, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with restaurant health and safety regulations. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations LEAD

1. Front of the House

o Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction LEAD
o Respond efficiently and accurately to customer needs, comments, and complaints LEAD
o Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices LEAD
o Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it LEAD
o Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions LEAD
o Assign weekly cleaning tasks to staff and re-assign as necessary LEAD

2. Back of the House

o Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste LEAD
o Track stock levels of food, supplies, equipment, forecast needs, and oversee ordering as necessary LEAD
o Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards LEAD
o Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory LEAD

Support Responsibilities:

Check store digital inbox for anything to print from Cerulean Management SUPPORT
Upload employee absence request forms SUPPORT
Check store physical mailbox weekly for mail SUPPORT
Report items needed to Cerulean Management SUPPORT
Place all organized receipts into manila envelope monthly in outgoing box SUPPORT
Place all organized job applications, W-4s, page 3 signatures, I-9 forms in manila envelope in outgoing box SUPPORT
Upload receipts and invoices to appropriate locations SUPPORT
Fill out and verify all on boarding documents for new staff SUPPORT

Qualifications:
Bilingual Chinese/English preferred
5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role 5 years of experience customer service management
Extensive food knowledge
Computer literacy
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills

Line Cook - Arcadia

As the Line Cook in our restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food as the orders come into the kitchen. Working as a team in the kitchen, your tasks will be to ensure high quality food is delivered to the customer. The fast-paced environment of our kitchen requires you to be attentive to your work, follow all safety procedures and protocols set forth, and maintain health and sanitary standards as set forth by the store manager. From prep to clean up, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your work station and the tools required for your position.

Line Cook Daily Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Deep fry the crullers, cook at the stoves
  • Grind the soy beans
  • Steam the rice
  • Prepare the soy pudding
  • Prepare the soy pudding marinate
  • Clean the line cook stations daily:
    • Clean the table top
    • Clean the dough press machine
    • Clean the stove and the pull-out collector under the stove
  • Check the gas knobs for every stove prior to leaving
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the floor by the line cook station
  • Maintain strong quality control standards for all food products being made

Typical work hours:

  • Full time – 40 hours a week, 6 days a week
  • Part time – 20 hours a week, 4 days a week

Compensation:

• $15.00 to $18.00 depending on experience

Qualifications:

  • 1 year work experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Holding and maintaining a current food handler’s license
  • Able to lift 20-pound items
  • Extensive food knowledge
